The Benefits Of Ultrasonic Liposuction

By Adriana Noton

The process of removing excess fat from the body by using high-pitched sound waves is called ultrasonic liposuction. In this way the fat deposits in some parts of the body are transformed into a liquid form or just melted, after which they can be removed. The most commonly used liposuction procedure is the tumescent liposuction procedure and the ultrasonic liposuction is often used after it, to reach out to the areas of the body which could not be treated by the earlier procedure. Such areas of the body are the chin, neck, cheeks, knees, calves and ankles.

The main advantage of the ultrasonic liposuction procedure is the ability to work with it on details. Once some fat has already been removed with the help of another liposuction procedure, the ultrasonic liposuction procedure can just complete the job by doing the 'fine tuning'. If the volumes of fat are large and the fat deposit is dense, the ultrasonic procedure is ideal for the job. Besides, it removes all the extra skin around and makes the skin tight. It is indeed a good alternative to the tummy tuck.

Ultrasonic liposuctions are said to break up cellulite. Treatment of delicate areas like the abdomen, back, buttocks, face and neck is done with the utmost care and no large tissue damage ensues. Also, the removal of fat from the patient's body is done in large quantities, because of which the bleeding is also reduced by almost 50% less than in other liposuction procedures.

The ultrasonic liposuction procedure is also known as the UAL procedure and is favored by most plastic surgeons, mainly because the process of extracting the fact is relatively easy using less suction. This is possible because the ultrasonic waves turn the fat so thoroughly into a liquid form, that the extraction can be done with ease. When a patient needs to get rid of large amounts of fat on the body, UAL is an advantageous solution. An equally popular procedure is the laser hair removal.

The advanced technology used in the ULA procedure is indeed commendable, because it breaks down the fatty cells into a liquid form and prepares it to be transported out of the body through a cannula. This modern technology has shown remarkable body contouring results.

Just as there are advantages and benefits of the UAL procedure, there are certain risks and problems involved with it. It is however important to make the patient aware of the pros and cons of the procedure, even though it is considered one of the safest liposuction procedures today. No severe damages of tissues are inflicted on the patient's body and there are no abnormalities. It all depends on the skill and experience of the plastic surgeon who carries out the procedure, and hence it is important to make a good choice on your part.

Many individuals require a perfect body weight and maintain a superior health condition. Sometimes surplus body fat is difficult to reduce and diet or workout may not help to get rid of the fat from a certain body part. For such patients the UAL procedure is ideal and after it recovery is quite fast.

Of course there are many benefits of the UAL procedure and plastic surgeons like to use it simply because of its precision and accuracy. But there can be some disadvantages too. Sometimes the ultrasonic waves can create a disturbance and this can result in burns or it can damage the nerves too. Also, the surgery may leave behind some scars due to the incisions made on the patient's skin. - 31997

Does Lap Band Surgery Help Prevent Against Diabetes?

By Adriana Noton

The obesity rates across the country have risen so high that it is now consider an epidemic. The staggering increase in obesity rates has resulted in a high number of serious health conditions. One such disease associated with obesity is Type 2 Diabetes. If not properly managed, Type 2 Diabetes can lead to a number of serious conditions such as kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, blindness, and amputation. Because a major cause of this type of diabetes is obesity, finding an effective weight loss method has become essential to reducing the risk of diabetes, alleviating this disease thereby making it more manageable, and even eliminating the disease altogether. One such method of dropping the excess weight to prevent diabetes is undergoing Lap Band Surgery.

Recent medical research has revealed that Lap Band Surgery is an effective treatment to improve or even eliminate the cause of Type 2 Diabetes in obese people. Lap Band Surgery (Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding Surgery,) involves placing an inflatable tube around the stomach to reduce the amount of food intake. The tube is filled with saline to reduce the size of the stomach. The size of the stomach is adjusted by adding and withdrawing the saline. The reduced food intake results in a drastic amount of weight loss.

Patients who have had this safe and minimally invasive surgery have seen a drastic reduction in the risk of getting Type 2 Diabetes, have alleviated the symptoms of the disease, and have even resolved the disease. As well, not only do patients achieve a drastic drop in weight, but the health improvements have been seen in patients of all ages. For instance, a significant drop in weight coincides with a decrease in insulin levels and blood glucose levels.

For those who suffer from obesity where their health is at risk, traditional diet programs have not been very helpful at helping them achieve healthy weight loss. In fact, the diet industry in general, is a multi billion dollar a year business that has very little proven results. Due to improvements in weight loss surgery such as the development of Lap Band Surgery, obese people now have an effective method to not only lose weight, but the result will improve and resolve such health conditions as Type 2 Diabetes. Those who are obese and have a BMI of 40+ are normally the most viable candidates for this weight loss procedure. To be considered a potential candidate for the surgery, you will undergo a medical screening process to ensure it will be safe for you to undergo the procedure.

Because unmanaged diabetes can lead to very serious and even fatal health conditions, Lap Band Surgery is a helpful solution to cure morbid obesity and prevent diabetes. If you are obese and are concerned your obesity will lead to serious health conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, you may want to consider Lap Band Surgery. It is important to discuss this surgery with your physician to learn the risks and benefits of having this weight loss procedure. - 31997

How It Is Possible To Get Rock Solid Abs

By Douglas Fernandez

If you are reading this you must be looking for away on how it is possible to get rock solid abs. If you are like me you most likely spent a lot of money on all those things we see on the telly, and in the stores which profess to be the one that may give us the body we want.

Well they never seemed to really do the trick for me. So I decided to do a little research, and put together my own plan on how it is possible to get rock solid abs. I use my system five days each week, and i have seen good results from it.

First what I really like to do is jog for 2 miles. Running or jogging is the main key to building your abs. Most people think in order to have perfect abs they must do millions of crunches. That is merely a myth. Yes crunches do help, but the major factor is cardiovascular exercise routines.

Before fat even starts to burn away from your gut you have to run at least 30 minutes. So jogging for 2 miles at a medium speed takes about 30 mins for me. When I am done jogging my 2 miles I can then walk for a mile, then jog again for my last mile.

So when all is set and done I have jogged / walked four miles. Now this might look like a lot but it really isn't. Naturally you will probably have to build your way up to 4 miles. So begin by doing 1 mile for a week then two miles the next week, and work your way up to four miles.

When you have finished the jogging and walking it's the time to do one or two abs crunches to assist in building the muscle in our body. This can easily be done at any gym, or right in your house. I advise that you lay down on a mat to give your back more support and comfort. For a start doing 3 sets of twenty AB crunches is perfect we don't have to kill ourselves. When you did that for 1 or 2 days work your way all the way up to three sets of 50.

So this is the plan that I have put together to get rock solid abs, and I've been using this system for two months now, and I now can look in the mirror and see my abs like I usually wanted. This is easy to do for any one, and it works! - 31997

1. Verify your daily caloric intake and find out how many calories you can burn within a day. This is a simple math of course. There must be a balance between what you eat and what your body require. Do not over eat in short.

To track down your caloric consumption, do an itemized calorie count. Write down the number of calories in each thing you eat. You can search on the internet for the calorie count of food that does not have amount of calories listed on their containers. You can consult a nutritionist or a doctor on the other hand to find the number of calories your body requires every day.

2. Read your list very well and resolve which foods you want to remove. Do not be afraid or annoyed, you don't have to take out some high calorie containing food which happens to be your treasured food, just reduce your consumption.

But again it is best to remove the unhealthy foods you are eating and seek the healthier ones. It is good to select lean meats such as chicken and fish. Select vegetable salad over dishes such as macaroni and cheese, French fries, or potato salad. For your breakfast, go for yogurt, oatmeal or fruit smoothies.

3. Produce a weekly plan for your meals. This is a good means of assuring that you get a balanced diet. You can search over the internet to get great ideas. The most important things you need to take note on your list is to include more vegetables, more fruits, more high fiber foods, and of course drinking plenty of water.

4. Workout daily. Whether you like it or not doing exercise is always part of any "Weight Loss Saga". Spending 30 minutes of your time everyday is already a good start towards shedding some pounds.

5. The last but not the least on my list of tips is to be consistent on your weight loss activities. It will be a little difficult at first, when you get used to it, it will soon be fun especially when you start seeing the results. - 31997

The Importance Of Weight Loss For Physical Well-Being

By Aaron Label

If you have ever tried to lose weight for aesthetic reasons, you may know how hard a battle weight loss can be. Even though being physically attractive may have given you the push to start losing weight, there are more serious issues at hand that come along with being overweight. Obesity is a national financial burden and is the cause of unnecessary, preventable deaths each year.

Being overweight contributes to many diseases including: high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, increased cancer risks and has negative psychological effects. These are just some of the effects of excess weight and the complications are not limited to these threats. Taking a closer look at these health concerns may allow for reevaluation of the importance of keeping your body healthy.

Increased chances of blood pressure is the result of the heart working overtime to pump blood to all areas of the body that need oxygen and other nutrients. This includes the excess fat your body is carrying around, because it requires nutrients and oxygen to survive. This means the heart has to pump blood extra hard in order to get it through the arteries, on its way to everywhere else in the body.

Type 2 diabetes is often caused by being overweight. Although this has typically been a symptom in adults, it is now common in children as well. This is due to the increasing number of children who suffer from obesity. Diabetes is the result of the body becoming resistant to insulin. This is the hormone that regulates blood sugar in the body.

A condition called sleep apnea occurs when a person is sleeping and for short periods throughout the sleep they stop breathing. This causes uncomfortable sleep, and fatigue during the day. This can also be a side effect to high blood pressure.

The risk of getting some cancers in women is increased when overweight. Chances of breast, colon, gallbladder, and uterus cancer are increased in overweight women. There is a way you can fight back and decrease your chances for all of these diseases. This is done by living a healthy lifestyle, including losing the excess body fat on your body.

Creating a weight loss program designed especially for you can help you combat obesity and the correlating negative health effects. Losing weight at a gradual pace has proven more effective than a quick fix diet. This is because when you drop the pounds slowly, this usually indicates you are making lifestyle changes as opposed to adhering to yo-yo dieting.
